   1995

   Firsthand Discovery (Istanbul, Turkey)

   Our roots go back to as early as 1995, where Ahmet Haluk Anasonoglu was working part-time at a jewelry store in Turkey, discovering the meaning of a precious and valuable piece. What was it that a customer actually wanted? To determine what made a piece of jewelry valuable in the eyes of its beholder required an understanding of people—their goals and their visions of what they deemed beautiful and worthy.

   Early 2000s

   Strategic Business Foundation (Koç University)

   While pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, he managed a dual focus between his coursework and engaging in hands-on experience in import and export operations, gradually coming to understand the value of logistics in building trust and reliability.

   2003–2004

   In-House Product Development & Positioning

   Here, he had his first glimpse into manufacturing from the inside, working in product development and marketing for an international jewelry manufacturer and thus forming a foundation of how successful collections were built for a variety of markets. This did not end with designing a collection, but extended to how it was positioned, priced, and sold.

   2004–2018

   14 Years of Global Export and Product Innovation

   In 2018, when KODD was soon to develop as the remarkable brainchild of all these experiences, Haluk had spent 14 years managing export operations while developing product lines for markets across Europe and North America, working directly with wholesale buyers to realize their next bestselling collection.

   The Birth of KODD

   By routinely translating market demand into collections that were not only captivating but built from a solid process, he would come to view his clients as people, in the end, who sought a reliable partner to work with. Ultimately, the demand was for someone who understood their needs perfectly—or someone who could cater to them consistently, and deliver. With this frame of mind, KODD was born as a comprehensive solution to clients’ needs.
